Religious Education & Faith Life

This Friday is All Saints Day and Saturday is All Souls Day.

All Saints Day is celebrated on November 1st each year by the Catholic Church. We honour and remember all the saints. On All Saints Day, we celebrate these special people and ask them to pray for us. We might go to church, say special prayers, and learn about the lives of different saints. It’s a day to remember that we can all try to be like the saints by being kind, loving, and helping others

All Souls Day is a special day for Catholics. It’s celebrated on November 2nd each year. On this day, we remember and pray for all the people who have died, especially those who might still be in Purgatory. Purgatory is a place where souls go to be purified before they can go to Heaven. Many families attend Mass to light a candle to remember relatives who are now in heaven.
