Solar Vehicle Challenge

Angus Morton

We are excited to share the fantastic news about our talented students who recently participated in the Victorian Model Solar Vehicle Challenge. On the 15th of October, two teams of six students each put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building solar-powered boats to compete in thrilling races.

🚤 Jawbreakers: Aazra Arakala, Daniel Garcia Galaron, Charlotte Kateiva

🚤 Hydro Hurricanes: Lennox James, Hunter Mclean, Liam Williams

Our students showcased their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork as they designed and built these remarkable solar boats. The event was a fantastic opportunity for them to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world context, emphasizing the importance of sustainable energy sources.

We commend their dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm, and we look forward to more such inspiring STEM adventures at Port Melbourne Primary School.

Congratulations to our brilliant young engineers and thank you to our teachers, parents, and the entire school community for your unwavering support.
