Welcome to Term 4!

It’s hard to believe we have reached the final term of the 2026 school year. As we begin Term 4, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the progress, achievements, and memorable experiences our students and staff have shared throughout the year, while also looking ahead to an exciting finish to 2026.

Term 4 is often filled with celebration, reflection, and preparation for the future. Our students continue to work towards their learning goals, and our staff remain committed to supporting every young person to end the year feeling successful, confident, and proud of their achievements.

🐾 Bunji Returns to School! 🐾

There were plenty of smiles around the school this week as Bunji returned after enjoying a relaxing holiday break filled with rest, fun, and plenty of attention.

Bunji settled straight back into school life, bringing his calm and friendly nature with him. His presence continues to provide comfort and connection for students and staff, and it was wonderful to see the excitement on everyone’s faces when he arrived back on campus.

Welcome back, Bunji. We are so glad to have you with us again!

🔎Looking Ahead to 2027

While we continue to focus on making the most of the remainder of this year, planning for 2027 is already underway.

Over the coming weeks, staff will be working through class placements for next year. Careful consideration will be given to each student’s individual learning needs, friendships, interests, and wellbeing. Our aim is to create supportive and positive class groups where every student can flourish and achieve their best.

Class placements are a complex process that takes many factors into account to ensure the best possible learning environment for all students. As such, requests from families for specific teachers will not be considered.

We appreciate the ongoing support of our families as we prepare for another successful school year.

🎄 Christmas Card Competition Returns! 🎄

Our much-loved Christmas Card Competition will soon be underway, bringing plenty of festive creativity to classrooms across the school.

This year’s theme: What does a Djirri Djirri Christmas/ holiday season look like to you?

Students will be invited to design their own unique Christmas card. We encourage everyone to let their imagination shine.

Winning designs from each section will be featured on the school’s official Christmas cards, giving students the opportunity to showcase their artwork and spread some festive cheer throughout our community.

☀️ Staying Sun Smart This Term

With warmer weather arriving, Term 4 is an important time to focus on sun safety. We encourage all students to make Sun Smart choices whenever they are involved in outdoor activities.

A few simple ways students can stay protected include:

🧢 Wear a hat to protect the face, ears, and neck.

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated.

🌳 Seek shade during outdoor play and learning sessions whenever possible.

🧴 Apply sunscreen before heading outside and reapply when needed.

As we say goodbye to the cooler months, we look forward to enjoying the sunshine safely throughout another wonderful Term 4.

With lots of learning ahead let's keep the momentum going!
