RE News - National Reconciliation Week
Next week, we celebrate National Reconciliation Week. National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The dates for NRW remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
The National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future.
Bridging Now to Next calls on all Australians to step forward together, to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.
We will celebrate this significant milestone in our classes and together as a whole school through prayer on Friday 30th May, at our 2.15 pm assembly.
A BIG Thank You to Evergreen Christmas Trees
This year Lou and his team kindly donated $95.00 to St Brigid's from the sale of Christmas trees purchased by St Brigid's community in December 2024. Each of these families went into a draw for a free Christmas tree in December 2025. We are very excited to announce that the winning family is the Walter's Family (Grace 5/6C). Well done.
