Senior School Update

Year 7 Camp

From Monday to Wednesday this week, our Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting and memorable camp at the Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre, where they took part in a wide range of activities designed to build confidence, teamwork and resilience.

Throughout the camp, students rotated through a number of engaging outdoor and recreational activities. Highlights included kayaking on the lake, rock climbing and raft building, where students worked together to design and construct their own floating crafts. Archery and archery tag were also popular sessions, testing students’ focus, coordination and competitive spirit! And course, who could forget the famous Mud Run, always one of the most memorable activities on Year 7 camp!

Students also had the opportunity to try unique activities such as fencing and the “Chain Reaction” challenge, which encouraged problem solving and teamwork as groups worked together to complete a series of tasks. These experiences encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones while developing communication and collaboration skills.

Evenings were filled with group activities and entertainment, including the Borambola Night Show, providing plenty of laughs and a great chance for students to relax and bond with their peers after a full day of activities.

The camp was a fantastic way for our Year 7 cohort to strengthen friendships, develop independence and create lasting memories as they begin their secondary school journey. A big thank you to the staff who accompanied the students and helped make the camp such a positive and rewarding experience.

On Tuesday 3 March, we recognised a wonderful group of students who continue to challenge themselves and strive for their very best. From courageous learners in the classroom, to outstanding performances in the pool, and students stepping forward to test their knowledge in extracurricular academic competitions, it was inspiring to see such a wide range of achievements acknowledged.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients on their efforts and accomplishments. We are very proud of the way these students continue to represent our school with enthusiasm, dedication and a commitment to excellence.
