Dear Cobram AGS Parents and Carers,
It has been a busy and rewarding past fortnight at Cobram AGS, with many opportunities for our students and community to connect, celebrate achievements and engage in the life of the school. Below is a snapshot of some of the key events and achievements:
- A warm welcome evening was held last Thursday, providing a great opportunity for families and staff to connect at the halfway point of the term. It was pleasing to see students having a great time and parents enjoying each other's company.
- Our students achieved excellent results at the GMDSSV Secondary Swimming event, highlighted by two age champions: Harrison Biggs and Harlin Robbins. Well done to all swimmers who competed on the day.
- Our Lenten reflections have commenced, giving students meaningful opportunities for prayer and reflection as we journey through this important season in the Christian Calendar.
- The Year 7 Camp was a wonderful success, with students embracing the opportunity to build friendships, develop resilience and engage in new experiences outside the classroom.
- The Year 9/10 Summer Sports Day saw outstanding participation and enthusiasm, with students enjoying healthy competition in volleyball and clay target shooting.
- We also acknowledge the recognition by Moira Shire of Mrs Marilyn Barr from our Pedestrian Crossing who was nominated for an International Women’s Day Award for her citizenship and her contributions to the wider community. This is a very worthy acknowledgement of Marilyn's fine service to our school community.
