Mary MacKillop

Last Wednesday the Year One classes celebrated Mass with their theme being St Mary of the Cross (MacKillop)   They read and sang so beautifully.

Mary MacKillop is the first and only Australian Saint.

Throughout her life, Mary lived by the motto “Never see a need without doing something about it”  This meant that she was kind and helpful and helped many people all over Australia.

Draw Near Project

St. Brigid’s and St. Gabriel’s schools, in conjunction with the Clearview / Kilburn Parish, invite you to a 60-minute Faith Formation and Social Education session to be held on Wednesday the 21st August, 2024 at 6.30pm at St Brigid’s School Hall. At this session we will explore Church teaching on migrants and examine data on forced migration and people seeking asylum in our community. This session will reinforce already known knowledge and will prelude an outreach to the local community to distribute household items to those in need in October. The session is part of the Draw Near Project, in partnership with Parish and Primary schools, Vinnies Refugee & Asylum Seeker Services (VRASS) and the Justice, Healing & Inclusion Office of the Adelaide Archdiocese. For more information, please contact the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide at 8210 8140 or jhi@adelaide.catholic.org.au for more information.

Clearview Kilburn Parish Anniversary Masses

Last Sunday we celebrated the Clearview/Kilburn Parish anniversaries. We have the privilege of celebrating Mass with the Archbishop Patrick O'Regan.  During the mass, we launched the Draw Near Project and signed the In-Principle agreement and after mass, we unveiled our new church logo and church sign.

Children's Liturgy

The next Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be at St Brigid’s Church on Sunday 18th August 9am.

Children's liturgy is a wonderful way for the children to have a better understanding of the Gospel of the day’s Liturgy and grow in appreciating the structure and the richness of the liturgy of the word section of the Mass.

Future dates for Children’s Liturgy are:

Sunday 18th August

Sunday 25ht August
