New England Sings!

We have been invited to participate in New England Sings! which  is a biennial mass choral (singing)  event featuring over 900 students from local schools around the New England and North West region. 

The concert will be held on Sunday the 1st November at Lazenby Hall UNE, Armidale. There is also a dress rehearsal the day before- Saturday 31st October. Several of Australia’s leading composers write amazing songs for the students to learn and perform. Workshops are held around the region in the 3 months leading up to the final weekend to assist schools in preparing for the performance (this includes our school). The final weekend this year will be led by two of Australia’s leading choral conductors, Ian Jefferson (Primary Choir) and Luke Byrne (Secondary Choir). 

It is a fantastic journey of learning original songs and coming together in a massed choir that is really exciting and memorable. There is no cost for this opportunity. This event is open to students in Stage Two and Three who love to sing and learn great music together and perform on a big stage.
