Croydon Booksellers Croydon : Radio Eastern 98.1FM

Collins Booksellers in Croydon recently celebrated International Day of the Book and National Family Reading Month with a special outside broadcast held in front of the store in partnership with Radio Eastern 98.1 FM.

Speakers included local author Leah Swann, members of a local book club, a local librarian, and our own Year 6 student, Alyssa C!

Alyssa tells us that she felt a little nervous at first when answering questions. She was asked about the book club she attends once a month at Collins on Saturday afternoons (along with Maisie T., Amelia T., Lucas C., and Noah M., also from our school) and after a few questions, she relaxed and found the experience enjoyable and positive. She also spoke about her favourite book series at the moment Keeper of the Lost Cities, where she is currently reading the second book in the ten‑book series.
