Tasmanian Schools Triathlon Challenge
The 2026 Tasmanian Schools Triathlon Challenge for High Schools will be held on Thursday 3 December at Bellerive Beach.
If your son is interested in participating, please complete the attached entry form and return it to the College Reception Office, along with the $32 entry fee (or pay via the EdSmart Slip sent to families on 24 August), no later than Monday 28 September. Entries will not be processed until the entry fee has been paid. Late entries may not be accepted. All payments are to be made through EdSmart payments via this slip.
Key information:
- Students can enter both in an individual event and a team event.
- Teams can be made up of students from different year levels. Students are responsible for forming their own teams prior to entry.
- Teams can consist of 2 or 3 students.
- The entry fee is $32 per student, regardless of how many events they enter.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for transport to and from Bellerive Beach, including bikes.
- The College will provide an SVC tent and staff supervision on the day.

Diabetes Australia are again partnering with the Schools Triathlon to support over 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes, helping fund life-changing research, education, and advocacy.
Team sVc has set up a fundraising page as part of the triathlon, and we will now go into the running to win a $10,000 cash prize to support our school sporting programs and equipment.
So sign up now to represent Team sVc (return entry forms to the Main Office) and kick-start your fundraising efforts.

Touch Football
Congratulations to four Year 10 student-athletes from SVC: Rhys Skelly, Harry Barton, Preston Cornish, and Will Anderson.
They have been selected to represent Tasmania at the Touch Football National Youth Championships, which will be held in Coffs Harbour, NSW, next week.
We wish the boys every success and hope they enjoy this wonderful opportunity to compete at a national level.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of our Year 12 students: Charlie Cubit, our dedicated Swimming Captain; Xavier Wright, our respected College Captain; and Harry Costelloe. This event marked a bittersweet farewell for them as they represented Team sVc for the last time. Their years of hard work and commitment have truly made a lasting impact, and they have made our College incredibly proud.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all the Swimming Tasmania officials and SATIS schools who worked tirelessly to make this event possible. Your support and dedication have created a nurturing and competitive environment for our students to shine.
Year 6 Come and Try Rowing Day
It was a beautiful spring day on and off the water for our Annual Year 6 Come & Try Rowing day.
Thank you to our wonderful senior school rowers for guiding the boys, and to our amazing staff and volunteers who make this day possible.
