Waste free wednesday Challenge

Well done Preps - amazing WASTE FREE WEDNESDAY

This term a project the Year 6 Earthcare team are working on is reducing waste in the school by not bringing single use plastic to school.

Please help us reduce our use of single use plastics by having a waste free lunch box on Wednesday. Waste free means no plastic/paper packaging that will end up in the bin.

Garden Suprise has arrived

Four New chooks have arrived to St Joes!

Each community will get a chance to name our new friends.

Hopefully our feathered friends will start laying soon and their eggs will stock the cafe kitchen for our lovely Matt lunches.

We would like to thank Jason from Talking Hens, who donated our beautiful new chooks and chook food.  So generous and knowledgeable about chooks.

Thank you to Meg (Ruby's Mum) for donating the Chooktred feeder and fake eggs, to encourage laying.  Thank you for organising the donation of our beautiful chooks as well.

1 more week to go - don't miss out!

Mornington Shire Recycling Trailer

Crib Point - 22 April - 12 May

The trailer will be at St Joseph’s on the above dates and collects e-waste (that fits in the trailer opening) and old bags, clothes and shoes that can not be donated to others.

We are very appreciative of the Mornington Shire to supply such a valuable service to stop e -waste and textiles going into our red landfill bins.

Don't forget to collect your containers for our next visit by Andrea from Roving Refills.

Next Visit is Week 6 Friday 24th May
