Functional Solutions - Scholarship
In Term 1 Kurunjang Secondary College was invited to apply for Scholarships from our Library software provider, Functional Solutions.
We are thrilled to announce that student Tia Rana (Year 10) was awarded a scholarship for textbooks, stationery, and uniform.
We are proud of your dedication to your education, and the effort you put in to extra- curricular and student leadership. Well done Tia!

Scholastic Book Club - Issue 3
Issue 3 of the popular Scholastic Book Club magazine is now available. Students can collect a copy from the library desk, and families can collect a copy from the school office (or view the online version of the magazine).

Orders are to be made on the scholastic website. Orders will then come to our school for distribution to students. Orders close Tuesday 13th May.
Premiers' Reading Challenge 2025
The Premiers' Reading Challenge started at KSC this week and will run over Terms 2 and 3. The challenge is open to all students.
It is more of a personal challenge, rather than a competition. Students have access to their own digital reading log profile where they can record books that they have finished.
Earn milestone badges as you progress through the challenge.
Students will need to read and log 15 books on their PRC profile. Don't forget, you can record books that you have finished reading during Term 1!
The library has a display full of challenge books - make sure to borrow some of these books to add to your challenge list. You can also use books from home for your choice books.
Students who successfully complete the challenge will be invited to our PRC Pizza Party! And will also go in the draw to win some awesome prizes including book vouchers and chocolates!!
To log in to the reading challenge, go to COMPASS > School Favourites (star icon) > Premiers' Reading Challenge. You will log in using your school email and password.
Challenge ends Friday 5th September.

Library Helper update
Library helpers have had a busy start to Term 2. Lots of new books, book returns, and shelving happening.
Our library helpers will soon start planning for our annual Book Fair, which will be held in October. Library helpers will be assigned key roles, decide on a theme, and start planning the many activities and decorations for Book Fair!
