Dear parents and carers,
As we come to the end of the term, I’ve really enjoyed my time at Keelonith as Acting Principal. It’s been a really positive start to the year, and I’ve genuinely loved getting to know the students, staff and families across the school.
While it was disappointing to have to postpone Fly High Night, especially with the amount of work that had already gone into it, we’re looking forward to this on Tuesday 31 March .
Across the school, students have made a very strong start to the year and should feel proud of their efforts. It is incredibly rewarding to see the impact of the work we have undertaken over recent years, with high-quality, evidence-based teaching and consistent routines supporting excellent learning in every classroom.
One of the real highlights of the term has been the start our Prep students have made. In a short space of time, they have settled really well into school life, building relationships, learning routines and growing in confidence each day.
The term has also been filled with a wide range of opportunities and experiences. Our Year 5/6 students participated in their Games Day excursion and Interschool Sport (ISS). Our Year 4 students attended their day camp at Lady Northcote and recently the Year 3's started their swimming program.
Looking ahead, we have our Cross Country event on the last day of term, which will be a great way to finish the term together.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support of our school. I hope everyone enjoys the final week of term and a well-earned, relaxing Easter break when it arrives. I look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for Term 2 on Monday 20 April.
