Literacy Update

Welcome Back
I hope the break was restful and that students are ready for a fantastic term ahead. I’m excited to continue our literacy journey, with a strong focus on continuing to develop reading, writing, and spelling skills across the term.
Homework
Reading Students are expected to bring home their readers or choose an appropriate book to read each night for the allocated time. Establishing this routine at the beginning of the term sets strong homework habits and supports reading confidence and fluency throughout the term.
Spelling Students are expected to practise their weekly spelling words at home throughout the week. Setting this routine at the beginning of the term helps build consistency and supports retention and application in their writing across the term.
