Beginning of the School Year Prayer

Loving God, As we begin a new school year, we thank You for the gift of new beginnings.

Bless our students as they learn and grow—give them curious minds, kind hearts,and the courage to try their best each day.

Bless our teachers and staff with patience, wisdom, and joy in the important work they do. Help them guide, encourage, and inspire every child.

Bless our families and our whole school community. May our classrooms be places of welcome, safety, respect, and friendship.

Walk with us through this year, helping us to learn from one another, care for one another, and always choose kindness.

Amen.

Our Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge that we learn, grow, create and celebrate on Wurundjeri Country. 

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the glorious land, sky, waterways, and wonderful wildlife with the traditional owners.

Exploring Country brings us joy, happiness and peace. 

We will continue our connection with Country through respectful play, by caring for our community and the environment and engaging in learning that challenges injustice and leads change.
