Dante Alighieri Poetry Competition
On Friday the 12 June, 29 students represented the College in the 2026 Dante Alighieri Italian Poetry Competition at Melbourne University. This competition challenges students to memorise an Italian poem and then recite it fluently and with accurate pronunciation in front of an assessor. The performance of our students in this competition was very pleasing, with 6 Monicans qualifying as finalists against strong competition from other schools.
