As we start the final week of Term 2, I wanted to reflect on what has been an amazing term at Keelonith Primary School. It has been jam-packed with school events and excursions. A personal highlight for me was being part of my first Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival, and it was wonderful to see everyone giving all the events a go and having fun. Adding to our sporting calendar, our 5/6 students participated in interschool sports, and we also had representatives competing for Keelonith at the District Cross Country.

We also enjoyed a number of fantastic incursions and excursions this term, including the Year 5/6 Mad About Science incursion, the Year 2 Melbourne Museum excursion, the Year 4 NGV excursion, and the Year 1 Bundoora Park Farm excursion.

On other news we have some exciting work that will start next week and roll into term 3 with our school review. Every government school in Victoria participates in a review every four years, and this is a valuable opportunity for us to reflect on what we’ve achieved and to set clear priorities for the future.

On Monday 22nd June the first stage of our review will commence with a pre review meeting followed by our review dates on Monday 20th July and Tuesday 28th July.

We still have one more week to go, but I hope everyone has a restful break and enjoys the holidays.

Kind Regards,

Matt Cook
