Book Fair

Our Book Fair has been a wonderful opportunity for students to discover a range of new and familiar books. Students had the chance to visit before the Fair opened to the wider community and create their own wish lists, and it has been fantastic to see so many families visiting throughout the week.

A big thank you again to Caroline and Izzy for transforming the library and helping make Book Week extra special for our students.

Families are warmly invited to visit and purchase books during the following opening times:

Wednesday 19 August• 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Thursday 20 August• 8:30 am – 9:00 am• 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Friday 21 August• 8:30 am – 9:00 am

Book Week Parade

We are looking forward to our annual Book Week Parade on Monday!

This is always a highlight of the school year, and we can't wait to see students arrive dressed as their favourite book characters.

The parade will run from 9:00am until approximately 10:00am, with Ripponlea Kinder and members of our school community joining us for the celebration.

This year, we are also excited to have Avenue Bookstore supporting our parade by providing prizes for some of the most original costumes. We are looking forward to celebrating the creativity and love of reading across our school community!

My Best Self – Year 3–4

Our Year 3–4 students have now begun their 10-week My Best Self program, focused on wellbeing, inclusion and leadership.

Each week, students will take part in an active and engaging session that uses dance and movement to help them build confidence, connection, teamwork and respect for others. As the program progresses, students will continue developing skills around resilience, inclusion, self-worth, belonging and leadership, while also enjoying the benefits of being active together.

We look forward to seeing our students continue to grow in confidence and connection throughout the program. The experience will culminate in a Showcase Gala, where students will have the opportunity to celebrate their learning and share their developing skills.

Parent/Carer Opinion Survey

Our annual Parent/Carer Opinion Survey is coming up, and we would love to hear from our families.

The survey gives you an opportunity to share your thoughts about your experience of our school, including areas such as school climate, student behaviour and engagement.

Your feedback is valuable and helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve. Survey results are reviewed at a whole-school level and help inform our teaching and learning programs, as well as our Ripper Routines and Expectations.

We encourage all families to take the time to complete the survey when the link is shared later this week.

Nudel Cart Incursion – Year 2

Last Friday, our Year 2 students had a fantastic opportunity to explore our new Nudel Cart during an engaging play-based incursion.

Students worked together to build, create, experiment and problem-solve using more than 340 pieces of equipment. It was wonderful to see the creativity, collaboration and imagination on display as students worked together.

We are excited to introduce the Nudel Cart to more of our junior school students during structured play times and look forward to seeing what they create!
