Dear Families,

Firstly, my apologies that this edition is a little overdue. Some of the information included may now be more time-sensitive than intended, and that is entirely my responsibility.

2027 Stationery and Parent Contributions

Recently, a Compass message was shared advising that 2027 parent payments and contributions are now open.

Your contributions make a significant difference to the programs, resources and opportunities we are able to provide for our students. They support not only classroom learning, but also the many small extras that enhance the daily experience of every child at Rolling Hills Primary School.

We are committed to maintaining the high standards our community expects across the diverse range of programs we offer. Importantly, 100% of parent contributions are invested directly into supporting students and their learning environments.

We recognise that the cost of living continues to place pressure on many families, and we understand that every household's circumstances are different. Over the past two years, we have seen a decline in parent contributions. While we have worked hard to ensure this has not impacted the experience of our students, ongoing community support helps us sustain the quality of programs and opportunities available to all children.

If your 2026 parent contribution has slipped by and you would still like to contribute, we are happy to accept payments. Please contact Jenine Farley, who will be pleased to assist you.

Parent Opinion Survey

Feedback is one of the most important ways we can continue to improve our school. The Parent Opinion Survey is the primary channel through which families can share their experiences, perspectives and suggestions.

At the time of writing, only 21 families (7%) have completed the survey. I would love to see that figure increase significantly over the coming week.

When only a small number of families respond, it can be difficult to identify trends and make informed decisions about improvements. A larger response rate gives us a more accurate picture of what is working well and where we can do better.

Please consider taking a small part of your day to help us improve a large part of your child's day. The survey takes less than 20 minutes to complete.

The Parent/Carer Opinion Survey is open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.

New Play Equipment

Please avoid visiting the library side of the school during the first week of the September holidays, as new play equipment will be installed during this time.

The exciting news is that the equipment should be open and ready for students to enjoy during the second week of the holidays. It might even be worth a special visit for a VIP play session before Term 4 begins!

SWPBS Parent/Carer Information Evening (Online)

I invite all families to join me for an online information session on Tuesday 15 September to learn more about the introduction of School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) at Rolling Hills Primary School.

The session will run for approximately 30 minutes and will include an opportunity for questions and discussion afterwards.

Throughout this term, we have been undertaking a soft launch of SWPBS. Some families may already have received positive behaviour notifications celebrating their child's success at school.

In Term 4, there will be a stronger focus on SWPBS for students, staff and families. Having a shared understanding of why we are implementing this approach and how it benefits students will help ensure its success and strengthen our school community.
