Bundoora Park Fun
On Monday the 31st of August, the Grade 1s went on an excursion to Bundoora Park Farm to explore the Heritage Village and learn about how things have changed over time.
Students took part in a number of exciting activities throughout the day. They enjoyed riding the safari bus to visit the Eastern Grey Kangaroos and emus, explored how newspapers were printed in the past, and discovered how homes and home life have changed over time. Students also had the opportunity to enter an old schoolhouse and pretend they were children attending school around 100 years ago!
Everyone had such a fun and insightful day, and it was wonderful to see the students making connections between life in the past and life today. The excursion was a fantastic way for students to bring their learning to life and develop a deeper understanding of how people, places and technology have changed over time.
