Father's Day Morning and Stall next week

Next Thursday, Our Lady's will have a Father's Day morning. Students and their dads will have the chance to come to the classrooms and participate in some very exciting activities. Afterwards, students will be singing a Father's Day song made by our very own Mrs B and Mr Lazarus. Students will be going to the younger siblings' classroom. Also, our school will be having a Father's Day stall on Friday for students. They are to come with $5 if they wish to purchase a gift and can bring more if they would like to purchase another gift.

Confirmation

This weekend, on Sunday, some of the Year Six students will be receiving the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation.  We wish them all the best as they receive this sacrament.

On Tuesday, all Year 6 students went on a retreat day for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We interviewed Christian from 6C about his experience.

On Tuesday the 25th of August, me and the grade sixes got to go on a retreat day. When we arrived at Amberley, we were met by a man called Ezekiel. He told us stories about how he worked in prisons and worked with a lot of hardened criminals, and also how God connected with him during this time.

After he told us these things, he taught us about the Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit and different scenarios that matched them. We then got to play a game where we would blindfold a person and try to get them to come to their partner by yelling out instructions but kept getting cut off by everyone yelling.

We also got to play another game where Ezechial would give different scenarios, and we would have to match them to what gift they represent. Then we stopped and had a break where we had a selection of games to play, drawing pictures or playing on the basketball court while we ate our lunch.

We finshed the day by writing a message to God telling him what we are grateful for and asking him to guide us through confirmation. Finally, we packed our bags and went home.
