Our Father in Heaven,
Look over and bless St. Augustine’s while we are working and playing.
Help us to respect and care for each other as you taught us to.
Give us the opportunity to do our best for you each day.
We look forward to being able to share our lives with our friends and families.
Keep us safe and give us the courage to be

Reflection for the Week
The St. Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) has launched its 2025 Winter Appeal, focusing on supporting those at risk of or experiencing homelessness due to rising costs of living. The appeal aims to provide assistance with basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter, as well as help with essential bills.
Focus on Homelessness:
The appeal specifically targets those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, recognizing the increased demand for services due to the cost of living crisis.
Support for Vulnerable Populations:
Vinnies is providing support to individuals and families struggling with poverty, including those who are experiencing family or domestic violence.
Emergency Assistance:
The appeal focuses on providing immediate help with essential needs such as food, clothing, and basic utilities.
Long-Term Support:
Beyond immediate relief, Vinnies also provides financial counselling and other support to help individuals break free from the cycle of poverty.
Community Involvement:
Many local Vinnies conferences are actively involved in the appeal, offering direct assistance to those in need in their communities.
Funding:
Donations to the Winter Appeal help Vinnies provide services such as crisis accommodation, food vouchers, furniture, and utility bill assistance.
Donations can be pleased in the baskets located in each classroom. We will present our collected donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul after our School Mass on Thursday 26th June at 9.15am.
The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
