Contagious Illnesses Alert
Parents please be advised that we have had some cases of both conjunctivitis and hand foot and mouth in the school this week. Both are highly contagious but easily treatable illnesses. Please take the time to read the Health Direct information below and if your child/ren experience symptoms, please keep them home to assist us to stop the spread.

Class Dojo
At MPS we use the Class Dojo platform to communicate on a daily basis with families and keep you up to date with what is happening in the school. If you aren't already using Class Dojo, we encourage you to download the Class Dojo Ap and then speak to your child/rens teacher to receive your unique class link.
You will be able to view stories that the teachers post directly from the classes, as well as receive whole school stories and event reminders.
Student Phones and devices
The Department of Education does not permit student use of mobile phones in public schools unless for medical or teacher directed educational purpose.
For the purposes of this policy, ‘mobile phones’ includes smart watches, other electronic communication devices, and associated listening accessories, such as, but not limited to, headphones and ear buds.
“Off and away all day” includes before school and at break times.
All communication between parents and students, during school hours, should occur via the school’s administration.
At Marangaroo PS, we ask students to power off and hand their devises in at the front office as they arrive in the morning and collect them as they leave in the afternoon. Devices are stored securely for the duration of the school day. We ask parents to remind students that they are responsible for their devices and as such they must collected their own device and not ask a friend to collect it for them.
