Today, our Year 3 and 5 children completed their Writing and Reading tests, the first two of their NAPLAN assessments for 2026. We are aware of news reports that a number of schools experienced technical difficulties that led to disruptions during their NAPLAN testing today. Fortunately, St Paul was not affected by these disruptions and all of our Year 3 and Year 5 children were able to participate and complete their tests as planned.
We are proud of our children for doing their best during these tests and thank our teachers for their efforts in creating calm, supportive learning environments.
Well done everyone!
The remaining NAPLAN tests (Conventions of Language and Numeracy) will be completed this Friday.
Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Mr Sheedy back to our school and to our Year 2 classroom. Mr Sheedy has been on leave following the birth of his second child, Leonard Patrick Sheedy. We also want to take this opportunity to again congratulate Mr Sheedy on the new addition to their family.
A huge thank you must also be given to Ms Emma Hart who has been teaching Mr Sheedy’s class in his absence. Ms Hart has been a blessing to our school for a number of years and across a number of classrooms as one of our regular relief teachers and she has helped us to support all of the children in Year 2 while Mr Sheedy was away. Thank you Ms Hart!
