Harmony Week

Thank you to all of those who attended our Harmony Week celebrations yesterday. The students demonstrated commitment and passion when preparing for their presentations and certainly made us all proud.

Students and staff collaboratively added two loops to the Paper Chain of Harmony, representing the diversity within our school and the shared sense of connection and belonging across our community. This will be displayed within our school if anyone would like to come into the school to view our individual values and harmonious beliefs.

Parent Programs - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

At St Mary’s, we are always looking for ways to support not only our students, but also our families. We are pleased to be exploring the opportunity to partner with Bendigo Community Health Services to offer a range of Parent/Student Program sessions in 2026.

These sessions are designed for parents of children aged 0–11 years and are delivered by professionals from the Child Health and Wellbeing Local. Presenters may include staff from mental health, medical, and allied health backgrounds, providing valuable, practical information to support your child’s development and wellbeing.

The program is coordinated by Annette Clemments, Social Worker, who works closely with schools and communities to tailor sessions to the needs and interests of families.

The sessions would be facilitated online, with families invited to attend onsite at St Mary’s in a supported setting.

To help shape what is offered at St Mary’s, we are seeking your input. We invite you to complete a short expression of interest form to let us know what topics or presentations you would find most helpful for your family.

Once responses are gathered, the school will work with the Child Health and Wellbeing Local team to confirm and schedule sessions. Please return this note via email or drop it in to the office by Friday March 27. All responses to prinicpal@sminglewood.catholic.edu.au email will be confidential.

Your voice is important in helping us provide meaningful and relevant opportunities for our community.
