The term is truly gathering pace now, and we've been thrilled to see lots of great work and activities happening right across the Primary school, from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Over the past few weeks, students across the school have begun preparing for their transition to 2026. Year 2 students are spending time in the Primary playground in anticipation of next year by enjoying the larger ovals, visiting the library at break times, and, of course, the thrill of the handball court!
We also recently welcomed our 2026 Kindergarten students for another wonderful day of orientation. The future Kindy children are busy rotating through fun activities like gross motor play, music and dance, reading books in the library, and sharing fruit in the lunch shed—all designed to make them feel welcome and excited to start their 'big school' adventure next year. In the coming weeks, these children will spend time in their actual Kindergarten rooms and get to experience even more of what school life offers.
Our Year 6 students have also had a fantastic time participating in recent transition days to prepare them for Year 7. These days have been packed with activities designed to ease the move to Secondary school, including meeting many of their new teachers, getting used to using a timetable, and experiencing a variety of subjects such as Agriculture, Technology, English, Maths, and Geography. We were also pleased to welcome students from other schools who will be joining us next year, making it a great opportunity for them to meet their new peers and start building friendships. From all reports, everyone is excited and looking forward to an exciting start to their Secondary school journey next year!

Last Friday, eight teams of Primary students ventured to Tamworth to compete in the ACS Primary Touch Football Gala Day. The students played with incredible energy, showcasing excellent sportsmanship, having fun, learning new skills, and working together as cohesive teams. A huge congratulations goes to the Holy Trinity Hippos, who played brilliantly and made it all the way to the Semi Final! Thank you to the staff who supported the teams, to the families who travelled to attend, and especially to the volunteers who umpired and assisted each team. We couldn't offer these opportunities to students without you!

Our Year 2 students have begun their swimming lessons! They are travelling to the local pool each Friday to participate in lessons focused on developing essential water safety and swimming skills. This is an important part of the curriculum, and we know they'll be making great progress.
Well done to Rafe Waller and Ruby Pagden who represented the Primary as part of the HTS Horse Sports team at an event in Tenterfield last Friday. Rafe and Ruby joined students from Secondary for a fun and memorable day of competition. Congratulations to Rafe coming home with Reserve Champion Pointscore 12yrs. What a fantastic experience for them both!

This Friday, November 7th, we will be holding a very special combined K-2 Prayer Celebration at the Sacred Heart Church at 9:30 am. The students have been practicing their singing, and the songs will be beautiful. Families are warmly welcomed to attend this special community event.
On Wednesday, thirty Stage 3 students will be travelling to the University of New England (UNE) to take part in a great interactive science day. They will participate in hands-on workshops and exciting experiments. We look forward to hearing all about what they learned when they return!
