There has been some amazing creative work happening in our art studio. In the first few weeks, students have been exploring the theme “We Belong.” The artworks are part of a larger collaborative piece adorning our communal spaces, and the phrase “Individually we are unique, but together we are a masterpiece” truly captures the essence of the project. Here are some examples from Grades 5/6 and Grade 2.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind families to please bring in clearly labelled art smocks (these can be purchased from Kmart or be an old oversized T-shirt). Students will use these throughout the year, and they will be returned at the end of the year.
