Junior School

We had a fantastic turn out from our Year 7 cohort at the EHS Athletics Carnival last Thursday. It was great to see so many of our students representing their School Houses by dressing up and participating in all events on offer. Congratulations to everyone for getting involved and supporting their peers.
Our young people have been undertaking NAPLAN testing since last Wednesday. It has been great to see our students giving their all throughout the testing sessions.
Later this week we will have our first SPI (Student Progress Interviews) sessions. This Thursday afternoon all sessions will be online (via Webex), whilst next Wednesday’s sessions will be at EHS onsite. Please encourage your young person to attend these sessions. Please note that Thursday will be a shortened day, where students will finish at 2:30pm, whilst Wednesday March 26 will be a student free day.
Tuesday March 25 is a big day for our Year 7’s with a number of interschool sporting events. Students will represent EHS in softball, tennis, baseball and volleyball. Additionally, NMR swimming events will take place on Thursday March 27.
As we near the end of the term, it will be helpful to check in with your young person regarding their progress in their lessons. Students will be juggling a number of classroom tasks and CATs (Common Assessment Tasks). Please help them by taking time to check Compass Learning Tasks and check in with their progress.
