Our Faith Journey

Heroes are never forgotten—they live on in the stories we tell and the peace we keep.

Gospel Reading

Luke 23 : 35-43

Jesus is crucified under the title King of the Jews.

How is Jesus’ kingship different from the kings and leaders we usually think of?

What does this teach us about the kind of King Jesus is?

If you could ask Jesus one question as He was on the cross, what would you ask?

Thank you Mrs Daujat and Mrs Mihalicek, for the beautiful sunflower gifts and for recognising the efforts of all staff at St Peter’s on World Teacher's Day. Your gesture was both thoughtful and deeply appreciated. The sunflower is such a meaningful symbol for us as teachers—reminding us to nurture growth, stay grounded in purpose, and continue shining brightly for our students and community.

We are grateful for your encouragement, your support, and the way you honour the work we do each day. Thank you for helping us feel valued and seen.

With appreciation,

Staff of St Peter’s

Remembrance Day Liturgy

Thank you to our Grade 5-6 Z students and Miss Zhang, for leading our school community in such a thoughtful and respectful Remembrance Day liturgy. Your reverence, confidence, and care helped everyone pause, remember, and honour those who gave their lives for our peace and freedom.

We are grateful for the time, effort, and heart you put into preparing and presenting it.

Lest we forget.

With appreciation

Congratulations !

This week our Confirmation candidates came together to celebrate receiving their Confirmation certificates and to share in a joyful lunch marking this special milestone.

We offer our sincere thanks toFr Andrew for his guidance, encouragement, and presence throughout their preparation. I also extend my gratitude to the school leadership team for their ongoing support in nurturing the students’ faith journey.

As our confirmands prepare to leave primary school, we pray that the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen and inspire them. May this journey of faith they have begun here at St Peter’s continue to grow throughout their lives.

Advent  Liturgies – The Jesse Tree

As we enter the season of Advent, we are excited to invite you to our Advent liturgies, led by our students, where the focus will be on the Jesse Tree.

The Jesse Tree tells the story of God’s plan for the world, from creation through to the birth of Jesus. Each symbol on the tree represents people, events, or promises from the Bible that remind us of God’s love and faithfulness. Through their prayers, readings, and reflections, our students will help us reflect on the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love this Advent season.

Details of the liturgies:

Dates:

  • Thursday, 27th November led by Grade 5-6 students
  • Friday, 5th December led by Grade 3-4 students
  • Friday, 12th December led by Grade F-2 students

Time: 2:30 to 3:00 pm

Location: School Hall

We warmly welcome families to join us and celebrate the story of God’s love coming to life through the Jesse Tree.

From Diwali to Advent – Sharing Light and Hope

Gallery Image

We have just celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Light, and now we move into the season of Advent, a time of hope and preparation as we wait for Jesus, the Light of the World. Both celebrations remind us that light brings joy, hope, and kindness.

To share this light with others, we are inviting students and families to donate non-perishable food items to our school food drive. These donations will help local families and community members who need a little extra support.

Donations can be brought to school at any time from Monday 24th November and given to your child’s classroom teacher. The food drive will finish on Thursday, 12th December.

To celebrate your child’s kindness, each student will receive a star to place in a special spot in the classroom, showing that they are a shining light for those in need.

Thank you for helping us share hope, joy, and generosity with our community!

With gratitude,

The Family of St Peter’s
