SSWA State Futsal Championships
Our Junior Boys produced an outstanding showing at the SSWA State Futsal Championships. After a strong 4–1 win over AIC in the quarter-final, the boys progressed into the semi-final. Facing a high-quality Safety Bay side, they were pushed to another level. Despite creating multiple chances, including hitting the post and crossbar several times, the boys narrowly went down 3–1, with the game sitting at 2–1 until the final three minutes.
They should be extremely proud of their efforts, resilience, and growth throughout the tournament, and we look forward to seeing how far they can go in 2026.
We also congratulate both of our Junior Girls teams, who qualified for the state championships this year. Although they were handed challenging draws, with the A Team falling to Joseph Banks and the B Team going down to South Coast, the girls represented the College proudly. Their commitment and improvement across the season have been evident, and we are excited to see them continue building on this in 2026.
Alternate Learning Week:
In Week 9, our Year 9 students visited MTL Studio in Mount Lawley for a specialised strength and conditioning session. Students were put through their paces and finished the year on a high, developing valuable skills and knowledge to support their athletic progression.
We also hosted an internal 5-a-side competition at Sam Kerr Reserve for our Year 7–9 students, rounding out the year with friendly competition, teamwork, and a great sense of community within the program.
Thankyou!
As we conclude another successful year for the Specialised Football Program, I wish to sincerely thank all students, parents, and guardians for their ongoing commitment and support. We have enjoyed many highlights throughout 2025, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back safely in 2026 for another exciting year.
