Teaching and Learning

Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back to Term 2. We have had a great start to the term with our swimming program. The students seem to be enjoying their swimming and the weather has really favoured us so far! Thank you to all the parents and carers for ensuring your child/children have come prepared for swimming each day.
This term is a term for learning and rigorous assessment. Learning starts at 8:50am each day, with prayer, morning circle and routines for the day ahead shared with the students. Children must be at school latest by 8:50am to be able to participate in these morning routines as they are designed to set the students up for success. As such, parents and carers are asked to bring their children to school on time everyday.
Looking ahead, the term will be a busy one for teachers with lots of assessments to be completed as they prepare the Semester reports. At St Anthonys, we are fortunate to have access to a number of assessment tools that enable our teachers to identify where students are in their learning, diagnose needs, and evaluate achievement. The semester report will reflect your child’s learning and growth this year.
We thank you for your ongoing support and partnership as we work together to facilitate the best outcomes for your child.
Kind regards
Glennis Kerr
(Leader of Learning and Teaching)
