Senior and Junior Hoop Time Basketball Competitions

In 2026, our school will participate in the Basketball Victoria Junior Hoop Time competition the following dates.

Year 5 and 6 Senior Hoop Time Basketball competition : Monday 22nd June at Waverley Basketball Stadium (9:00am - 2:45pm)

Year 4 Junior Hoop Time Basketball competition : Friday 26th June at Casey Basketball Stadium (9:00am - 2:45pm)

These exciting interschool events provide students with the opportunity to celebrate and apply the basketball skills they have been developing during P.E. lessons. Team will be announced in the upcoming permission form this week.

All students in Year 4 will compete in a team at the Junior Hoop Time.

Year 5 and 6 students will all play in a team on the Senior Hoop Time date.

Hoop Time Competition Format

Students will be placed into teams that best suit their skill level across the three competition divisions: All Stars, Future Stars and Rookies. Teams will compete in a round robin format against other schools throughout the day.

Each team will include an appropriate number of students to ensure everyone has plenty of opportunity to participate and enjoy time on the court while representing St Simon.

Parent Support

We are also seeking parent volunteers to assist as coaches and scorers on the day. No experience is necessary, and we would greatly appreciate any support for our many St Simon teams.
