CBSQ Wildcard Tournament
A strong campaign came to an end for the Balmoral Opens at the CBSQ Wildcard Tournament, finishing tied first in pool play after two hard-fought days of basketball. 🔥🏀
The squad showed resilience, energy and composure throughout the tournament, earning some impressive wins against quality opposition and representing Balmoral with pride every time they stepped on the court.
A huge effort from the entire team and coaching staff — plenty to be proud of and plenty to build on moving forward. 💪
Well done Bella!
Bella Jongejan has returned from the State School Competition in Townsville after an outstanding campaign representing Metropolitan East. ⚽️
Bella helped guide the team to a third-place finish in the state, securing the medal in a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Sunshine Coast.
To cap off an incredible tournament, Bella was also selected in the Queensland Team — an elite honour awarded to just 15 players across the state.
A fantastic achievement and a testament to Bella’s hard work, talent and dedication. Congratulations Bella! 👏💪

Bill Turner Trophy
A strong day on the pitch for the girls in the Bill Turner Cup, showing composure, resilience, and plenty of heart across two tightly contested matches.
The opening fixture saw a confident performance against Mansfield, with the team controlling key moments to secure a solid 2–0 victory. Defensive organisation and sharp finishing proved the difference, setting the tone for the day.
The second match against Cleveland was a far more tense affair, ending 0–0 at full time after a gritty, back-and-forth contest where neither side could break through.
With nothing to split the teams, it went to penalties — and the girls held their nerve under pressure, coming away with a 5–4 shootout win to close out the day in style.
A fantastic effort across both games, highlighted by teamwork, discipline, and composure in the big moments.
