STEAM Centre Donation

A call for naturally dead invertebrates (such as beetles, moths, butterflies, dragonflies over 1cm big)

Year 9 science elective "Evolution of Life: from Surf to Turf" are looking for dead insects to learn how to scientifically pin, taxidermy, classify, and label specimens. 

As we don't want to use farmed or unethical invertebrates, we are looking for kind people to donate bugs to the STEAM centre in either a container or bag. 

Students will learn how to rehydrate specimens, articulate limbs and set wings, as well as other entomological skills. If it is under 1cm big, it will be too small to be meaningfully taxidermied.
