VM Students Support Very Special Kids
On Thursday 8 October, the Year 12 VM Personal Development students proudly ran their Community Project, a sausage sizzle fundraiser in support of Very Special Kids.
In the lead-up to the event, students worked collaboratively to organise all aspects of the day. Their efforts included designing and displaying promotional posters, completing food-handling training, sourcing food and supplies, and coordinating the smooth running of the fundraiser. The project provided students with valuable opportunities to develop teamwork, communication, organisation, and community engagement skills.
The sausage sizzle was a tremendous success, with students working together throughout the day to serve staff and students. Most importantly, the event raised valuable funds for the wonderful charity Very Special Kids, which provides support to children with life-threatening conditions and their families.
A huge congratulations to the students for planning and running such a fabulous event. Their dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm were evident throughout the entire project and contributed greatly to its success.
We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our school community for their incredible support. By purchasing sausages and supporting the fundraiser, staff and students helped make a real difference for a very special cause. Your generosity and community spirit were greatly appreciated.
Well done to everyone involved in making this fundraiser such a rewarding and successful day!
