Book Week

Please note - New Date for Book Week Parade - Monday 31st August

The 2026 CBCA Book Week theme is “A Symphony of Stories”. Our Book Week Parade will be held on Monday 31st August , and we’d love to see students celebrate the wonderful connection between books and music.

Need some inspiration? Here are a few ideas:

     ● Come dressed as a famous composer such as Mozart, Beethoven or Tchaikovsky.

     ● Choose a character from a musical story, such as Peter and the Wolf, The Nutcracker,          The Firebird, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Swan Lake, The Magic Flute, or Carnival of              the Animals.

    ● Dress as a member of an orchestra, carrying (or making) a simple prop representing a         string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument.

    ● Become an opera singer, conductor or another performer from the world of music.

Of course, students are also very welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character—the choice is yours.

We can’t wait to see the creativity and imagination on display as we celebrate the stories and music that inspire us all. Happy costume planning!
