St Mary's Shines!

New - Vixens Guard of Honour
As part of Rumbalara's Junior Netball Club, several of our students were lucky enough to be part of a Guard of Honour for the Melbourne Vixens and NSW Swifts, Super Netball First Nations round on Sunday.
What an incredible experience for Ellara Power & Isobel Briggs, well done girls.
New - Division Sports Championships
Last Friday, our Grade 6 students and a few grade 5 students proudly represented St Mary’s at the recent Division Football, Netball, Soccer and Tee ball Championships.
St Mary’s entered teams in Netball, Soccer and Tee ball, with students competing against schools from across the division. Throughout the day, our students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
Our Netball team came away with 2 wins from 4 games. The girls played extremely well throughout the day and worked together beautifully as a team, showing great determination and encouragement in every match.
In Soccer, our students displayed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. Although they came up against some very strong opposition, the team continued to support one another, work hard, and represent St Mary’s with pride.
Our Tee ball boys had an outstanding day, going through the competition undefeated before playing in the grand final, which they also won convincingly. The boys showed excellent skill, teamwork, and composure throughout the day and should be incredibly proud of their achievement.
As Division Champions, the Tee ball team will now travel to Wangaratta on 5th August to compete at the Regional Championships. We wish the boys all the very best and look forward to hearing about their continued success.
A big thank you to the staff, coaches, and families who supported the students and helped make the day such a success. We are incredibly proud of the way our students competed and conducted themselves throughout the championships.
Well done to all students involved!
