Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
Last week we were so pleased to welcome so many mums, grandmothers and special people to our Mother’s Day Morning Tea.
It was wonderful to see so many families join us to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives. The morning had such a lovely atmosphere, with families enjoying time together after our Junior Cross Country.
The smiles, encouragement and community spirit on display throughout the morning made it a very special event for everyone involved.
Thank you to all of the families and special visitors who attended and helped make the morning so memorable.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day and enjoyed celebrating with family and loved ones.
ES Day
💚💛 Today we celebrate Educational Support Day and recognise the incredible contribution of our Education Support staff.
Their dedication, patience, kindness, and hard work help create a supportive and inclusive environment for every student, every day.
From assisting in classrooms, supporting wellbeing, helping students achieve their goals, and being a friendly and caring presence throughout the school, their impact is truly invaluable.
Thank you to all of our Education Support staff for the care, encouragement, and commitment you show each and every day. Your work does not go unnoticed, and our school community is stronger because of you.
Happy Educational Support Day we hope you enjoyed your breakfast and morning tea.
AEU Industrial Action
The AEU had previously planned half-day staff strikes for this term. The half-day strike for Swan Hill is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday 17 June.
However, due to the level of negotiations currently taking place, the strikes planned over the coming weeks have now been put on hold.
As soon as we receive further information regarding any potential industrial action, we will communicate this with our school community.
At this stage, the industrial action also means AEU members may choose not to write comments on student reports.
Student reports will still be provided at the end of the term but they make look different this term.
We will share further information regarding student reports closer to the end of term.
Cross Country
Congratulations to all of our students who have participated in Cross Country over the past week. It has been fantastic to see so many students getting involved and giving it a go.
A big well done also to all of the students who represented our school at the Divisional Cross Country today. We are very proud of your effort, determination and sportsmanship.
School Council
If you are interested in joining our School Council, I encourage you to Tim Dunstan or I for a conversation about what the role involves. Nominations for School Council are open.
2027 Enrolments
If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.
Enrolments are open for 2027! Please contact the school for further information!
Our Come and Try days are coming up soon! Please call the office to book a spot. We have had lots of families reserve a spot to these fantastic sessions.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind Regards
Brea
