Blue House Captains

Hi, we are Jessie and Rhys, your blue house captains for 2026. 

I am Rhys and my birthday is on April 4 and I am 12 years old. I love sports and my favorite sport is soccer and I go for FC Barcelona.  My favourite player is Lamine Yamal because he started playing for a club at a very young age and never gave up. This term I am doing soccer for interschool sports and hope that our team will win. I have 3 brothers who also love soccer. Their names are Marc, Eric and Izac. This year in year 6 I have experienced a lot of new and fun things like meeting my prep buddy, Andrew, being the blue house captain. I am looking forward to going to camp this year at Rumbug and having new and challenging work.

Next year I will be going to high school at salesian college in chadstone where I get the chance to make lots of new friends and learn new things. This term has been great so far and I am sure it will keep getting more interesting and adventurous.

My name is Jessie and I am 11 years old. I have a younger sister called Allie who is in grade 4 this year. My favourite thing to do in my spare time is read. I love the Harry Potter series, in particular, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This term I am looking forward to cross country where I get to run 3km. 

This year, I have enjoyed meeting my prep buddies, Serena and Hayley, and helping them settle into our school. I have also enjoyed going to Wakakirri practices every Monday and doing my stage makeup for the first time. This year is also my last year being in the senior choir. My favourite part about being in the choir was performing at the school concert and performing at the Mother’s day morning tea. Being a blue house captain, last term’s interschool sport competitions have been my highlight. I chose tennis and have loved playing different schools.

This term the 5/6s are having summer sports which are soccer, footy, softball and netball. We have training sessions on each Friday until we have our first interschool sports day on the 21th of May. The coaches for our sports teams are Mr Cotesta for soccer, Miss di Cosmo for softball, Miss T for netball and Mr Stokes for footy. So interschool sports will be fun. We are all very excited and looking forward to it. We will do our best and we hope to win all our games and make St Leonards proud.
