Through the Leadership Lens

Dear Parents,
We have enjoyed a wonderful start to the school term, made even better by the beautiful weather that has certainly brought a spring to our steps. It is lovely to see the school grounds so vibrant as we head into the heart of the term.
Last week, we had a fantastic turnout for our Eucharist Family Faith Night. It provided a precious opportunity to pause and reflect on our faith journeys and the significance of the Eucharist in our lives. In our busy world, it is rare to put our phones aside and spend intentional, one-on-one time with our children, discussing their faith and the sacred steps they are taking in the coming weeks. A sincere thank you to Mr. Anthony Adaman, Mrs. Mel Sedony, Mrs. Carmel Wood, and Mrs. Eska Ta for their organisation and for preparing the evening's activities. Ending the night by "sharing a meal" together was a beautiful reflection of the Eucharist in action within our daily lives. While we understand that attending Mass every week can be a challenge, the act of gathering as a family to share a meal and discuss our values is a powerful way to keep that spirit alive.
Yesterday, our school community came together for a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration. As we honored the women who guide us, we looked to Mother Mary as our ultimate inspiration. Just as Mary provided unconditional love, strength, and a "yes" to God’s plan, the mother figures in our lives play a pivotal role in shaping our hearts and our community. Motherhood takes many forms from biological mothers and grandmothers to aunties, dear friends, and the dedicated teachers here at St Leonard’s. We recognise and celebrate the unique way each of you nurtures, protects, and leads our children.
A few special thank-yous from yesterday’s celebration:
- Mr. Anthony Adaman for organising our liturgy
- Ms Chiara Pascuzzi and Mrs Suzan Atyimas for creating the wonderful photo spot that captured so many smiles
Our PFA for organising a lovely morning tea for our families
To all the mothers and mother figures within the St Leonard's community: thank you for everything you do.
Warm regards,
Alyce
