ASC Livestock Team - Glen Innes Beef Extravaganza

Our Livestock Team recently travelled to Glen Innes for the annual Beef Extravaganza. We had a wonderful time away on excursion and claimed the big prize of Champion Heavyweight steer. This was an incredible result against both other schools and open competitors.

The steer 'Macca' was bred by the Mcrae family from Kingstown and was very well cared for over many months at our school farm by the team who also presented him so well at the show. Renee Murdock did a great job of exhibiting him in the ring to claim the big award.

We also achieved a number of minor placings with our other cattle and students in the cattle handling/ paraders competition. Well done Lillian Murdock for your parading effort and ribbon and well done to Britney Tarrant and Lola Gaw for their junior judging success on the microphone in front of a big crowd.

As always, or team represented our school so well. All students worked so hard together and were always polite and respectful. The ASC community can be very proud of our team!

A big thank you to Mr Travis Murdock for accompanying us on this trip and for all his hard work! A big thankyou also to the Mcrae and Cole families for their continued support of supplying us with quality Limousin cattle.
