LIBRARY NEWS:
Thank you to everyone who has purchased something from the book fair - all proceeds go to the school for extra books and resources.
Story Lines is a writing competition for children and youth aged 5 to 16 years who live, study and play within Kingston Council, and is free to enter.
Entries are divided into age categories: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14-16. Our staff judge the entries by creating a shortlist, and then, selecting a 1st , 2nd and 3rd place for each age category.
All shortlisted and winning entries are published in a book, and the placed entries win:
- 1st - $150 Westfield voucher
- 2nd - $100 Westfield voucher
- 3rd - $50 Westfield voucher
The competition opens the 21st of July, and submissions close at 5pm on the 21st of September, with winners announced on our website and social media on the 24th of October.

Could children please return any overdue books before borrowing new books.
The Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge is now OPEN!
From March until 5 September 2025, students are invited to register, read and review books, and be in the running for some fun prizes.
If you are interested in taking part please come and see me at the library to enrol.
