Massive congratulations to Tyra K (6RM) & Gemma M (6LB), and their Montmorency Black teammates, who won the NFNL U12 Girls Division 1 Premiership!

What a way to finish the season! Facing a Kilmore team that had the upper hand in their previous encounters, the girls showed tremendous grit and determination to turn the tables when it mattered most. A brilliant Grand Final victory!

Well done, girls! 💪🏼🏆

Massive congratulations to Leo K (5ND), Lincoln L (5ND), Archie M (5ND), Jack O (5ND), Patrick H (5KJ), Ashton AH (3/4C) and Parker L (5RC), and their Greensborough White teammates, who won the NFNL U11 Division 3 Premiership!

Making a Grand Final is an incredible achievement in itself, so to go one step further and take home the premiership is something they can savour for years to come.

Well done, boys! 💪🏼🏆

A huge congratulations to Amelia S and Izzy S (5RC) who were both awarded MVP for their representative basketball teams. An amazing achievement for their first year of rep with the Diamond Valley Eagles.

How’s this for a memorable sporting moment? Tenace H (3/4C) had the incredible opportunity to run out with the Brisbane Lions for Sam Draper’s 100th game! Knowing how much Nacey admires Sam Draper, the Lions arranged for him and his brother, Rhyda H (3/4H), to be part of the guard of honour before the game. Sam even remembered meeting Nacey and personally pointed him out, inviting him to run onto the field with him before letting Rhyda join too. What an unforgettable experience and a very special sporting memory for the boys!

A huge congratulations to Asher P (6SM) who represented Greenhills at the CLC Combined Training Day on Saturday. Asher and her horse, Candy, competed in both dressage and jumping, finishing with an impressive 4th place overall. After a challenging dressage round, Asher bounced back with a fantastic clear jumping round, finishing close to the optimal time. An amazing achievement, and a wonderful result in her favourite discipline!

Well done, Asher! 💪🏼

If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.

FOOTY DAY - FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER

Gallery Image

As shared recently, Isabella A (6RM) and Grace P (6SM) have both achieved the incredible honour of being selected in Team Vic squads, with Isabella selected for Australian Football and Grace for Basketball.

Representing Team Vic is a fantastic achievement and comes with significant costs for families, as participation is self-funded. Expenses can reach several thousand dollars and include host state and administrative levies, uniforms, training and team equipment, transport, accommodation and meals.

To help support Isabella and Grace and their families with their fundraising, we will be holding our annual Footy Day on Friday 11th September.

For a gold coin donation, students are invited to come dressed in their favourite team colours. Throughout the day, our Year 6 Leaders will run a range of fun footy rotations for students to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing our school community getting behind Isabella and Grace and helping celebrate their fantastic achievements!

Thank you,

Jordan Daley
