Father’s Day Liturgy 

Thank you to all of our fathers, grandfathers, carers and special father figures who joined us for our Father’s Day Liturgy this morning.

During our liturgy, we reflected on the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32) and the beautiful example of the father in this Gospel. Despite his son’s mistakes, the father welcomes him home with open arms, showing us a love that is patient, forgiving and unconditional. His actions remind us of God’s love for each of us and the love and acceptance that fathers and father figures can bring to our lives.

As a St Joseph’s community, we also reflected on the example of St Joseph, who loved, protected and cared for Jesus. Through his quiet faithfulness, strength and devotion to his family, St Joseph reminds us of the important role fathers and father figures have in guiding, supporting and nurturing their children.

A special thank you to our Year 2 students, who led us so beautifully in prayer and reflection, and to all of our families who joined us for this special celebration.

As we celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday, we give thanks to God for all of the fathers, grandfathers, carers and father figures in our community and pray that, like the father in today’s Gospel and St Joseph, they continue to be examples of love, compassion, faith and guidance in the lives of our children.
