Japanese Online Exchange

Year 5/6B students recently enjoyed an online exchange with our sister school, Namiyoke Elementary School in Japan. South students shared interesting facts about our school, Australian culture, including AFL, quokkas, pavlova and Vegemite. In return, we learned about life in Japan, including popular anime, favourite characters and popular sweets. Japanese students were very excited as it was their last day of school before their summer break. We are loving our online meetings, and we are already looking forward to our next chat with our friends at Namiyoke Elementary School in the near future. 

Prep (Foundation) Bag Design Competition

Our Prep students will be taking part in the 2027 Prep Bag Design Competition during Art class this week. Students will create an original artwork based on the theme "My Year of Prep" for the chance to have their design featured on the official Prep bags given to new Prep students across Victoria next year.

Once your child's artwork is complete, it will be sent home for families to submit online if they wish to enter the competition. Entries must be submitted by Sunday the 9th August 2026. Full submission instructions will be sent home with your child's artwork.
