Principal Message

Dear Families,
As we move through another exciting term, I’d like to share some of the wonderful learning opportunities and important reminders happening across our school.
100 DAYS OF PREP:
Our Prep students are celebrating a very special milestone -100 Days of School! This exciting day recognizes all the learning, growth, and friendships our youngest students have experienced since starting school. We look forward to seeing our Prep students enjoy a range of fun activities to mark the occasion. Congratulations to our Preps on reaching this fantastic achievement!
CYBER SAFETY:
Technology plays an important role in our children's learning and daily lives. We encourage all families to continue having regular conversations at home about safe and responsible online behaviour. Remind children to protect their personal information, be kind and respectful online, and speak to a trusted adult if they ever encounter something that makes them uncomfortable. Working together helps ensure our students develop positive digital habits.
REST & SLEEP:
A good night's sleep is essential for children's learning, wellbeing, and emotional regulation. Consistent bedtime routines and adequate sleep help students arrive at school ready to learn, concentrate, and participate fully in classroom activities. Thank you for supporting your child's health and learning by encouraging healthy sleep habits.
YEAR 6 CAMP:
Our Year 6 students are eagerly preparing for their upcoming camp. Camp Howqua provides a wonderful opportunity for students to develop independence, resilience, teamwork, and lasting memories with their peers, especially up on Mt Buller for the day. We hope everyone has a fantastic experience, and we look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return. Special thanks to staff for the preparation and to the volunteers – we can’t do this without you!
PARENT HELPERS TRAINING:
We warmly invite all prospective parent helpers to attend our information and training session on Wednesday, 5 August at 2:20pm. This meeting will provide important information about volunteering at our school and outline the ways you can support our students and teachers. We appreciate the generosity of our parent volunteers and look forward to welcoming new helpers. Please bring your current Working with Children Check (WWCC)!
MOVIE NIGHT:
Our upcoming Movie Night this Friday, is sure to be a fun evening for the whole school community. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, relax, and enjoy time with friends. Keep an eye out further in the newsletter for details regarding the movie, start time, and ticket information. We hope to see many of you there! Thank you for your continued support of our school community. We truly appreciate the partnership we share with our families.
MRS HANNAN-CUTHBERTSON:
I will be taking leave over the next week or so for an operation on my knee so Mrs H will be the Acting Principal, and I am sure you will support her just as much as she supports the staff and students across the school.
Kind regards,
Scott McCumber
Principal
