Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,
We are well and truly in the thick of the School Concert preparation and the excitement is building! Less than two weeks to go and things are taking shape very nicely. I’m sure parents, familes and friends will be thrilled with the performances.
Bunnings BBQ
A huge thank you to those parents and staff members who voluteered their time to make the Bunnings BBQ happen last weekend. The weather gods certainly helped, but I can’t thank these people enough – helping to raise close to $2800 for our school and students.
NAPLAN and ATOSS Data
Lastly, I’d like to share a couple of snapshots (you may have seen one of these on our Facebook page already) of some Whole School Data which arrived earlier this term. The first is a snapshop of our Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN data, and the second is a snapshop of our Year 4-6 Attitudes to School Survey Data. There are some clear areas of celebration in both – specifically our NAPLAN Reading data and overall growth data, and our ATOSS Incusive school culture data. We are also using this as a chance to identify some key actions to implement in order to address our challenges or improvement areas. These will form the backbone of our 2027 Annual Plan.
Finally, parents and students will start to notice work beginning on our Penberthy Hall toilets as part of the second stage of our toilet upgrade. If all things go to plan, these should be completed and open for use by Term 4 – fingers crossed!
I look forward to seeing you all at Her Maj on the 17th and 18th of August for our concert performances.
Until then,
David Garner
