$700 raised on World Environment Day

Thank you to our wonderful St Mary's Community for acknowledging and celebrating with us on World Environment Day. Your contributions from gold coin donations for dressing up, guessing the lollies and enjoying our delicious year 6 baked treats, (shout out to the Vlahos family mud cake contribution too!) we raised $700. This will be shared amongst the garden and other outdoor learning opportunities in the school - we will keep you posted.

Congratulations to Darcy for guessing the closest amount in the lolly jar - he guessed 322 - it was in fact 326. Hope you haven't eaten them all yet!

And well done to our budding artists as their artwork was celebrated at assembly last week. Come and see everyones creations on display in the hallway near Performing Arts.

Thanks for your garden play contributions

Thank you to those families who have contributed to our outdoor play area by bringing in natural play objects, tubs, wooden kitchen play items - our students are loving playtime so much more. Keep sending them in. Here are some examples of what our curious students have been creating.

Garden Club Update

This week we have weeded and mulched one of our sunny garden beds to prepare it to plant potatoes in the coming weeks. Thanks again to Anne, the church gardener,  who is supporting Ms Michelle and the students in this project.

Anne has also come together with our generous parishioners and collected more succulents and planted them this week in a barren garden bed close to the planter boxes. They look gorgeous!
