Prep
On Fridays, we have a grammar and punctuation focus during our Writing lessons. The Preps have been learning to enhance their sentences by learning to use adjectives to paint a picture for their reader.
Leo: Today we were working on making our sentences better by using describing words. I described my burger as spicy, cheesy, yummy and crunchy!
Lexi: On Fun Friday, we wrote about a burger and a bike. I wrote about the red tomato, the green lettuce, the yummy bread and the melted cheese!
Year 1
Our Year 1 students are thoroughly enjoying their Inquiry unit ‘Our Changing Earth: Caring for our Planet’. They’ve been exploring the wonders of our solar system — learning about the planets, the sun, and the moon. The excitement has been building as students write their own information texts about different planets, with the highlight being publishing their favourite piece on Google Slides!
Maddie: I feel proud of using the lines properly in my writing.
Marco: I like that I can do the letter 's' properly! My ‘p’ is also digging into the ground.
Lucy V: We have been learning how to spell different words. I love how my handwriting is really neat.
Year 2
Our Year 2 students have been having a blast improving their maths skills through the engaging game Bullseye! This fun activity helps children practise their mental strategies across addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
