Year 11 Study Camp

Year 11 Camp was a fabulous experience for both the students and staff. The focus was a chance to come together as a year level for their last camp, enjoy activities that would challenge students out of their comfort zones, and consider their goals and study practices for the year.

We went to Alexandra Adventure Resort where there were many fun outdoor activities such as the giant swing, high ropes, raft building and archery. We had access to the pool on Thursday night which was a relief from the warm weather, and we also had a lovely time by the fire, sharing a devotion together.

We had a speaker from Elevate come to speak to the students about how their thinking and beliefs are a significant part of what their year will look like next year, and challenged them to critique whether their current thinking was going to help or hinder their goals for 2024 and beyond. The VCE students also looked at practical study skills to set them up for a successful year of study, whilst the VCE VM students had some time developing team skills together.

One other highlight was an activity and bush dance night on Wednesday. The students were full of energy and amazing dance moves, and the staff thoroughly enjoyed it as well. As we came home, we enjoyed a bush walk around Steavenson Falls in Marysville which was a great way to finish camp. We are grateful for this unique and energetic group of Year 12s, who we know will have a fantastic Year 12 experience!
